The theme I'm using the dev made the market app icon say htc on it instead of the having the little droid also when i open the market app itself, it says htc in the corner.

I love the theme but those 2 things are bugging me. I've tried a search but all it came up with was about people having problems with market which isn't the case for me.

is there a way i can just retheme the market app and the icon.

i'm not too good at this stuff but i can do update.zip and pretty decent with root explorer but not the terminal emulator stuff.

thank you:)

ADB pull it, open with 7zip, edit the .png, push it back. You can always swap out for an icon from another theme.

Yeah if you want you can do an update.zip for yourself if you know how to do it. I don't know how to do that, so I just use ADB.

it gave me f/c couple times at first but now it's running great

If you pulled it from data/app, it has to be resigned. I think if you use 7-zip it won't break it tho' ;)

do you

Still have the one that said HTC on it. If so its really easy to edit it.

use root explorer to copy to sdcard [you said you know how to do this]
Now once its on sdcard open archive in 7zip, now in 7zip highlight all the folders and rightclick on one and choose copy to [wherever you work on your pc] no matter where. now minimize 7zip dont close it.
Now start looking through the folders for the icon, and for the other png with The HTC logo you want gone. Now you can either just use eraser tool in paint.net [or whatever editor you prefer].
If you want you could just take the files from the original one just png's I mean. You can do that as well. Just make sure its named the same then drag it to the still opened 7zip window [make sure to put in the same folder].
Once this is done you can close 7zip, and then go back on your phone with root explorer and copy this file that you edited to system/app. Once its there and you set permissions you can reboot and see how it went.
Take your time the first time its pretty easy though

another alternative for the icon would be use either bettercut, or folder organizer to replace the icon. Doing it this way isn't permanent though just so you know.
