Can anyone explain how the logistics of this all works. Wikipedia is really lacking in this department... yeah I keep checking online if anyone got the 2.1 OTA for the :motdroidhoriz: but now I'm wondering how the magic happens, of course to find plausible reasons for a delay.
First off- international releases. Hong Kong, really! They have the most monitored networks ever, just barely supporting iPhone. I guess my question here is if core features of the os need to be tailored to meet governmental regulations, and what that means for an open source project (aka what if nobody feels up to fixing something)
I also don't understand how it is pushed. I have DroidMod 1.0 and the update.zip is roughly 10MB. Will my network monitor show pulses, low connection, or is it going to go all out? I cant remember if in the last update it downloaded after agreeing to the notification screen.
That being said, I've heard conflicting theories about the company that pushes it (Bitfone?) and others. Why would they need this, Verizon already has a good system.
I'm running out of ideas why its delayed.. starting to think Google is holding it back so we rise up against Motorola and Verizon. The Nexus1 sucks, it wont work. So maybe learning something will make me less insane right now. Oh, and this is my first "post new thread". Hi :reddroid: These :greendroid: icons are super cute.
