Problem transferring files

I am a new owner of a Droid X. I also own a MacBook Pro. First, My MacBook does not recognize my phone as a hard drive or anything else. States, "Cannot read format". Second, I have attempted to set up the bluetooth on both devices. They can be paired but not connected. When I attempt to send a file, it reads "File cannot be transferred". I there any other way I can transfer my music from my MacBook to my Droid X? Please advise

Droid X has a different file format than Mac's use, you should have gotten an iPhone. But I'm sure there is some program you can use to xfer files
