Problem rooting please help

PLEASE HELP!!

I'm in the middle of rooting (using Matth3w's guide) and when I type:

/system/bin/flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-0.99.3.img

it returns:

/system/bin/flash_image: 1: Syntax error: word unexpected (expecting ")")

I've tried 3 times thinking a typo, but I don't think so.

Looks like you are typing that line correctly, is there something that wasnt entered in right in the previous steps? I would go back and check that first and then maybe just exit and start over if everything looks ok above.

I do not see a typo in what you typed here. Did you enter any " ? Did you download and install the SPRecovery on the SD card without any file extension?

There was a typo there...."recovery-0.99.3b.img" he wrote 0.99.3.img. don't know if that was. It but what I saw.

So what was the problem? Just out of curiosity.

One of my downloaded files was corrupt, re-downloaded it and all is well. As I told mike in my pm...
I was at a good stopping point before I install overclock and smoked glass so I had me a pizza two beers and a float around the jacuzzi.

I'm now officially ready.
