Problem recieving Picture messages lately.

Have had my Eris for about a month. Just the other day when a picture message comes in I get a grey box saying download. When I click to download i get a message saying Download of Message Unsuccsessful. Is this something anyone else is experiencing?

nope, sometimes the pictures come through, but when the grey download box pops up and i click it it tells me it was unscuccesful so i dont know what the hell is wrong with it

If I wanted to talk to someone about picture messaging and my lack thereof, would I need to contact someone at HTC or Verizon? And how would I go about obtaining those customer service numbers?

I had a problem sending pictures or video texts via WIFI. If I turned WIFI off and went 3G then they'd go through on a retry.:droideris:

No idea! LOL But as soon as I turned WIFI off and retried (with Verizon on my landline) and switched to 3G, it went through.

i just started a new thread on this same prob i hardly use wifi its always off i still cant get pics anyone find a solution?

So I just sat on Verizon Wirelss Tech Support for the last 45 minutes to figure out something about my pix/flix messaging problem. When I would send a message it would never get to the destination. When I would receive one I would get the download option but never see the pic. He had me do a hard reset on my phone and everything and I reprogrammed it. He sent a test picture to me and it worked!

The culprit...I had my 3G turned off. I was able to use the browser because I always turned on wi-fi in my house then turned it back off. 3G coverage carries your data and when it's turned off you can't send or receive data....DDDOOOOOHHHH!!!

Maybe my ignorance will help someone else.

ugh that doesnt help me cause i rarely use wifi and have never turned 3g off

I would call Verizon Tech Support if you haven't already (use a land line). I talked to a guy named Joey Coxey and he was great help.

was on the phone with them for about an hour the other day the tech sent me a pic and it worked then he tried again and i got the d/l box again he said he was gonna mark the problem and try to get it resolved and thats as far as i got

well, looks like 2 months later after this thread started I am having the same problems.....cant get pics attached to the texts! This really sucks, wow! And I am NOT doing a hard reset either! Way too much crap on the phone now.....
