There's an app called Extreme Call Blocker though I have not used it. Of course you can always fork over $4.99 a month per line to Verizon for Usage Controls!

there is also afirewall which can do this and a whole lot more.

afirewall did not stop the private numbers ringing for me. I could just block phone numbers but not unknown or private numbers.

In afirewall, since I assume you paid for it. Go to number list>menu button>add unknown and private. This should do it.

Thanks, That did work. Is there a way to stop it from ringing once? If not this is good enough.

Thank you guys. Gblocker works also. But it still rings once.
