Powering Down While Plugged In

Hello,
I have the original Motorola Droid, not rooted, I'm running AWD.Launcher. Last night I was trying to charge it, I pulgged the original Motorla charger that came with the phone into the wall. When I plugged the charger into my phone it powered down. I picked it up to see what was going on and then it powered down a second time. Everytime I moved the phone or the charger and/or cord, the phone would power down. I tried another wall charger that is not Morotola and it did the same thing. I tried both car chargers as well and it did the same thing.
I'm about to freak out because about a week ago I had to do a reset and I had to set it all up again. I really hope that I dont need a replacement. I dont want to go through that again.
Does anyone have any suggestions at all??

My thought would be that you need a replacement. Sounds like the port on your phone is messed up
