Power off & recovery. why?

Ok I'm new the forum but have utilized a lot of information off of the site here. I recently rooted my Droid X and deodetexed it as well. I am running NexTheme and love everything I've done thus far.

Problem: every time i re-boot my phone, I'm entered into clockworkmod recovery. If i use the reboot option, everything works fine and phone turns on with no issues. But why do i have to keep "rebooting" from the recovery mode in order to do so. Any suggestions? Should i attempt to reinstall the theme? any advice would be great, thanks.

UPDATE: after recovering and older backup before i installed NexTheme but after have rooted and deodexed everything worked fine... Until i install the NexTheme again. Is anyone else having this issue with this theme? Can ANYONE help?

I get this once and a while after a total battery drain.
2.2 ota, Rooted, Clockwork...no custom theme, some bloatware removed

I would try it again. Make sure you have a good backup. The NexTheme is what you said a theme. They just change picture colors and some other light stuff. The developers have no reason to go into changing the recovery.

Also what program did you use to get to recovery? The program could force each time your phone boots to want to go into recovery by default? I use droidxbootstrapper or rom manager. both do the trick. I believe droidxbootstrapper you can get off koush website for free but the market for 2.00
