For those of you whose power button broke...

Just today, I've noticed that my power button doesn't have the same spring-back response when pushing it.

For now I can still use the button without much problem, but does anyone have any idea how long I have until it breaks permanently?

Thanks!

I would imagine that would completely depend on how much you use it and how hard you are on it. Obviously.

^ good post....
Mine has always been kinda soft/spongy when pressed. Never really felt like a real pushable button. There have been threads about it, from what I remember, there were about the same number of people with buttons like mine compared to those with fuller, clickable power buttons. Mine works just fine, 7 months in.

This does not help your issue but on the Droid X, you can push the home button to wake the phone :)
Tried it with my Droid, didn't work.
But sliding the keyboard just a little bit did (took longer then the power button, I think).

I use the power button a lot so I don't accidentally press any buttons. The search button in the lower right hand corner I press a lot:tongue:.
