Posting pictures on facebook

I've noticed that when I use the facebook ap and upload pictures to my profile on facebook, the pictures are small. This is my 3rd phone that has this capability and the only phone with this problem. Is there a setting I need to fix this?

I also experienced this and found it confusing that it handled uploading this way. Has anyone tried taking a picture outside of the facebook application, then uploading it with success?

I uploaded a picture that I took outside the facebook app and it was not shrunk.
