possible to use any live wallpaper without any lag?

Even when I'm overclocked (1ghz).. the phone still lags a bit. But phones like the X, Nexus One, etc doesn't. Is there any tricks to avoid the lag?

The ONLY LWP I've had NO lag with is the Mario one (which is free in the market)

Any suggestions would he nice. Thanks!!
