I have a polaroid pmid 901 that i dont the password to and i cant get it into recovery mode can anyone help

So, holding the VOL UP/DOWN buttons while powering the device ON, does nothing?

The southern telecom site has firmware upgrades for the '901' and all other build levels of Polaroid tablets.
If your tablet is giving you fits, you may need to use it as a USB and flash a firmware update, or they may be able to assist you with a clean reboot through a different method of flash.
Once you get back up, I suggest you use an SD card and store a bootable copy of your system to it.
