I just got a new Samsung S5 yesterday, and today tried to make a phone call. The company I was calling required a number to be pressed for it's automated system. It didn't matter which number I pushed, they all made the same sound and the system didn't recognize it, acted like it didn't even hear it. Do I need to change something in settings so I can make calls and choose number options? Thanks!

Congrats on your new S5!
I didn't have to change anything on mine, so I'm not sure. I went into the dialer settings but didn't see anything that could be changed to resolve this issue. Who is your carrier?

I have Verizon as well and just tested mine by calling my bank to check my balance. When dialing, all of the numbers make the same tone, but they work just fine as far as being recognized on the other end. Have you tried using another phone to call the same number to see if perhaps the problem is on their end?

I don't know what happened but it seems to be working now. I called it again, pressed Mute, and then pressed Mute again to make sure it wasn't muted. It wasn't and it worked this time. Who knows! Thank you very much for your time and help. I don't need help often, but it's nice to know there are nice people available to help. Thanks!

Not the same issue but close?

When I need to enter touch tones on a company menu the dial pad is not available. I have to use the back button then press phone again. Not the ideal way to do this.

Suggestions?
