I went to flash siyah and it aborted. I did make a backup in clockword but the phone is 100% dead. it wont even turn into downloading mode. The strange thing is that the battery is definitely charged. what do i do?

Verizon would say, you see, this is the reason we locked this phone. Why try messing up a perfectly working phone, you want to root especially the Verizon version I suggest wait till the devs have it under control.

See if you can take it to your local verizon store and say you left it plugged in and it wouldn't turn on when you came back or something. Mega bummer. It is sad that firmware can ruin a device, there should be some way to easily user-reset back to factory.

I'm going to stop by radioshack tomorrow and make a jig usb adapter and try that... ill post back to let you guys know if it works. Otherwise off to the big red..

And whether or not Verizon is right or wrong about locking the bootloader, this is the very thing that makes their argument a legitimate one.

To be honest, if you are unable to fix it, it's not Verizon's problem. It's your problem. The RIGHT thing to do in this case is an insurance claim (you DO have insurance, right?) - otherwise, it would constitute a fraudalent warranty claim.

If you're not willing to pay, then do not play. Simple as that. Just my opinion though.

EDIT: even if you do file a fraudalent claim, you MAY get caught - if you do, expect to be billed at full retail for the replacement device.
