Paying For Apps

Greetings everyone. I've been searching through various threads today in search of an answer with not much luck. I am a soon to be new Droid X owner this week and already have many apps that I will be picking up based on comments from this thread and some research. But I'm left wondering...

How are you billed for apps that require purchasing?
Does the cost of the app go onto your Verizon account bill or does the app developer require PayPal or other forms of payment?

While there are many wonderful apps available for free there are just a few that I will gladly be purchasing and I'm just curious how this works. Thank you for your comments and suggestions.

Really great forum we have here and tons of great information!

Paying for apps.

You actually use a credit card and google secure checkout; or at least that's one way to choose to pay. I don't believe you can have it billed to Verizon.

It goes through Google Checkout, so you will be prompted to create an account with a credit card before access to the Market is allowed, in the near future they are working on also letting you put the charge on your Verizon account, but for now it is exclusively thru Google Checkout

You can also use a rechargeable Visa from Walmart on Google Checkout.
That will limit your exposure of your CC if that is a concern to you.

I've only bought $60 in apps since Nov 09...2 of them being $20 ea.

Sorry, but how do you go about getting a rechargable VISA from Walmart?
I've never done this before so I need a little edu.
Thanks much!

Most stores now have prepaid Visa and Amex cards. Usually you get one that has anywhere from $25 up to $100, but you do have to pay a processing fee of $5-6. So you might actually pay around $30 for a $25 card. But once you have that then you on onto the market, pick your app and plug in that cc # and you are good to go.
