Brand new to droid hacking....However I just rooted my fascinate, now what do/ can i do??

Your options are wide open. You can download root apps like screen capture apps, load custom roms, and theme your phone.

This might be really dumb, but where r the root apps!?

They appear in the marketplace. Good ones to start with would be drocap2 for screenshots, titanium backup, and sett cpu.

Well i'm not really that familiar with the fascinate but I would suggest starting out with a new launcher like launcher pro, this doesn't require root but I think it adds a nice touch to the phone.

That's what i've done with lp and a few widgets.

Yes it is worth buying the pro version imo. I don't remember If you get more widgets but you get the ability to resize widgets.

This launcher is very nice and about as smooth as it gets when u run a live wallpaper. No need for root just download and install.

EVO(ish) type launcher + Nexus Drawer= AWESOME - xda-developers

Evoish theme. Tried downloading from the .apk but my phone says download content not supported by phone. Fascinate.

Install a file manager like Astro from the market. Open it. Navigate to the download folder. Press the .apk or .zip and select open app manager (in the case of a .zip you'll need to open file first, then press the .apk). Select install.

I have Astro, just transferred the file via bluetooth. This theme is basically the same as LauncherPro but with less options. All you have do is change the dock in LauncherPro.
