On SD cards, an unknown notifier and false fails

I have a couple of concerns regarding my Droid Incredible:

1. Does anyone know if the 64GB SD card will work in the Incredible? I have a 32 GB now. And why is the new ScanDisk one so expensive??

2. An unknown notifier has appeared and I can't locate the source. It looks like a graphic of a hard disk with read/write arm and an exclamation point next to it. The accompanying notification states: "Application data space low." Does anyone know the source of the notification and how to get rid of it?

3. On both my and my son's Incredibles, a pop-up randomly pops up, announcing that the particular app I am using has stopped working, even though it is working fine. What's that about?

Thanks!
