Official with commercial verizon 4G release

Not sure if this is up there yet but verizon 4G is going to be released in December and they already have a commercial they are going to start airing tonight.

Interesting that the scene takes place way out on a farm somewhere, and not in the city where 4G is more likely to be deployed.

Excellent point. That commercial though has got to mean some phone will be released in December.

Also this is the first time I've seen anything that truly indicates that they will start LTE in this year. I know a lot of you don't remember but about 6 months ago everyone was talking about it being released in the Fall. I said to the best of my knowledge everything showed first quarter of 2011. So if they release it in December they will have accelerated the process.

Still keep in mind that to cover all they cover now on 3G will take a few years.

I am glad to see an official video and confirmation that LTE is coming in December, there has to be phones being introduced or the fact LTE is available would be moot and not good advertising money spent. I also like the commercial for another reason, there's an old ham radio receiver sitting on the right side of the bench - hams like myself will notice things like that
