Odd Boot Issue

Ok, so I've been happily rooted, installing new roms, etc. for a few months. This is my first major attempted bricking of my phone, and I'd love some help here.

I have a few backups of roms, I tried to install the new SS 4.2. My phone went into an endless boot loop, I opened my clockworkmod recovery, and tried to apply one of my backups, and it said that all the files didn't exist even though they're right there on my sd card.

I'm about to try to put a rom on the root of my sd card titled update.zip and see if that works.

Any other suggestions?

Not sure what may have caused the problem. Here are a few suggestions.


If you did not wipe prior to the install/flash then start again and wipe then reinstall/flash SS.

Make sure your battery is at least 60%

Restore an older version of CW and see if that will allow you to restore a backup

Also make sure you let the phone fully boot up and finish checking your sd card, as I've had to do that one.
