Odd Advertisements and possible Malware?

Try installing "Lookout" or "Kaspersky Mobile Lite", run a scan, see if it finds something. It appears something has somehow switched your app store from Google Play to Handango. I'd bet you have a milicious app in there somewhere.

If you are still having issues you might want to try Ad Network Detector or Addons Detector (both on the market (free))

so i have tried lookout and avg and neither come up with any type of virus. i will try these add detectors and such. I'm telling my fiance to just master reset it but she says "i set the phone and apps in the right place just the way i like it"...JEEZ.

Titanium backup and a launcher that saves its settings and layout....then whenever or if ever u flash a rom or need to wipe/SBF just restore it all thru titanium and bam...

But to answer your question dude its her downloading the apps that are sending ads to the phone. There is no virus, its an app she installed. If she doesn't like it, tough luck. Either don't use the game/app/whatever or deal with the ads
