not receiving email notifications.

I am using yahoo.
When i first set up the phone i was getting my email.
Now nothing unless i touch the refresh icon on the top right corner then the email download.

email setting are data push is checked.fetch schedule is 15 mins
sync over wifi only is unchecked

battery mode is performance mode

i have uninstalled and reinstalled still not working.

Is there something else i am missing that would cause emails not to be delivered?

I think i have done everything posted above and still not working.
My gmail is working but Yahoo is not.
I have removed and reinstalled yahoo acct.
Reformatted phone and yahoo will not send new emails unless i refresh manually.
Talked to Verizon and they recommend that i try an app K9.
But why should i need an app to do something that the phone is supposed to do?

it started to work again didn't do anything else to it.
Maybe a problem at Yahoo.
