Noob trying to do Fission/Darkslide for first time Please help!

Just as the Title says. I am a total Noob to the android system - just got a Droid 2 Global and am interested in loading Fission and Darkslide. I don't even know where to start...could someone noob me out or provide a good link to do this myself? I am technically savvy...just never worked with android/cellular technology before. Thank you.

Fission and darkslide are outdated at the moment. I believe if you update to 4.5.608, you can install Apex, CyanogenMod, or MIUI. All are "fairly" stable.
