Noob question: How to run scripts?

I've been modding my droid for a while now, probably since BB 0.6 or 0.7. I mostly just follow the instructions and it took me forever to root it the first time. I've never really gotten to the point of worrying about those scripts Pete writes into the OP's for the updates. Now I'm curious and just want an easy set of instructions to run them. I really hate some of those built in apps.

TL;DR - I need instructions for running the scripts from the BB OP's

Type su, hit enter, type the script you want to use, hit enter. Done. Do this in terminal emulator if u weren't sure
