noob in need of help

Ok I am very sorry but if someone can help I would owe you big.

I was able to root my Droid inc ... I think. I used the one click root and now I see the superuser icon in my apps.

My issue is I want to WiFi tether my itouch to my Droid. I got two apps ( barnacle and WiFi tether) my itouch finds the signal and connects but I have no internet activity. Am I missing a step? Did I root wrong? Any fixes?

Please help
