Non root theme questions

OK, here comes a major newbie question. Am I right in thinking that if you use panda, gde,or openhome you can install themes without the need for root.
? If so which one would everyone suggest? I have used Home++ and right now am using launcherpro and have been happy, but I would like to use in nice theme? So is this something I could do without root, or am I SOL?

All of the themeable home replacement apps are fairly unique. Best bet would be to try them out and see what fits you best.

You should know though, the market themes for those launchers are nowhere near as elaborate as the theme options you see on the forums that require root access.
