No more haptic feedback?

After I got the update on my droid phone, the haptic feedback does not work when typing on the touch screen keyboard or selecting icons or menu items anymore. It only vibrates when selecting the back, menu, home, and search buttons at the bottom.

I have made sure that the option is selected, I have unselected and restarted and all that stuff to make sure I was not missing something. It did work before the OTA but now it does not.

I figure maybe they thought people did not like it but in my experience it has been a luxury people claim the iphone doesn't have, and I quite enjoy it the feature.

Am I missing something after all? Or is this the way it is from now on?

Welcome sessica.

It appears that for some, the update turned off the haptic feedback for the keyboard.

Check settings > language & keyboard > android keyboard and make sure vibrate on keypress is turned on.
