No Lock

I read about this app on a thread. It gets rid of the lock screen so when you turn it on you can use it immediately.

FANTASTIC!!!

One of my favorite apps now.

Yea, I haven't used my lock screen at all going back to the D1. The app I use isn't around any more so I've been bringing the .apk with me to each new phone!

I wish I knew about this years ago - had no idea.

You can download No Lock free from the app store. Works great.

^The app I have toggles the screen time out, lets the volume buttons wake the phone and gets rid of the lock screen. PM me if you want me to send you the .apk!

No Lock has a widget which I don't need. It makes it so the power or the volume keys wake the phone up and bring you to your main screen. So far it works flawlessly.

I use Screebl for the screen time out.

Between the two I am very happy.

Have any if you noticed a faster drop in battery since getting no lock? I had it on my d1 for two years and just put it on my bionic last night and today was a bad battery day. But, I just found out we are getting 4g here in Birmingham on the 20th so maybe they were messing with the towers today.

Yeah that's usually what I'm seeing with my battery. Its got to have something with 4g coming. I have no CPU being used. Guess I will see how it goes tomorrow.

I think he was just saying he gets great battery life so the app isn't affecting it. It definitely won't help battery life. It even stays running in the background but doesn't use any CPU's.

Actually it seems to improve my battery. Cell Standby time without a signal is very very low now. I wonder if never locking is helping it keep a signal?
