newbie- Twitter App issue

I'm brand new to the Droid world. So far I love the Incredible, except I think I managed to somehow disable the Twitter App from automatically syncing with the notification bar ont he phone's home screen. I used to get a "t" in that bar indicating there was a new twitter. I no longer get that notification and have to manually go to the app to see if there are messages.

Any ideas why this App is no longer syncing? I've tried some of the sync screens and I'm not sure anymore what I should or shouldn't ahve checked.

Have you gone in the Twitter Application and checked the settings to make sure that the notifications are turned on ?

I had the same issue. Eventually I just broke down and got tweetdeck. You can set it to check for updates anywhere between two minutes and two hours and it can compile both twitter and facebook and I think a few other things. I haven't missed a tweet since.

Now my facebook isn't showing notifications either. HELP
