New to the forum and The Droid

Hi Everyone!
I am new to the forum and the droid. I love this phone!! I will be searching for tips and tricks for this phone and any ways to save on battery life.

:welcome: to DF. Tons of threads on battery use around here, that's a very hop topic. Best thing I can tell you to do is just put on what you want intitially and monitor it at setting/about phone/battery use. Usually the display will take up most of the battery.

I would also like to recommend that you download Screebl. This will help keep your screen active while you are in use and save you from forever having to reactivate your screen if you pause for a few seconds. Watch the video on it, it can save you battery life as well.

I personally didn't find much need for Screebl. I turn the screen off as soon as I'm done doing whatever I'm doing, and since that's the case, I think my timeout is set at 2 minutes. Seriously considered setting it long. Might still. Just my opinion to get the ball rolling on your quest for battery info!
