What's going on Droid Clique? I'm new to the droid world and I have tons of questions..

well, my main reason for rooting my droid incredible was to increase the battery life. I found a command for the "adb shell"...

mount -a
rm /data/system/batterystats.bin

This is supposed to regulate your battery somehow..Well, I did it, and now my battery seems worse. I unplug my phone in the morning @ 100% and in 10 minutes, using facebook, its at 91%.

Does this method I used work, or did I just do it wrong?

I do not know the answer. I have a rooted Droid so my experiences may be different. The first question do you have a task killer? If so, remove it. Typically, they cause more problems than they solve including battery.

Tap menu, settings, phone, battery usage. This displays what is using the most power.

Hope this is helpful.

Anti-virus.... if you have one delete that as well. Wasting resources and battery life.

What interval do you have your Facebook sync set to?
It's in the FB settings...

Much appreciated Mike, but how do you get full capability out of your battery?
What apps are you using to increase your usage time? I have Advanced Task Killer and a battery boost to activate an energy saver. I also have my display brightness low and widgets at a minimum.
It seems like if I want to use the phone I can't use all the stuff it comes with or it'll die.

I do not do anything special. I keep the brightness down and let the OS handle the rest. The Android OS does a really great job of managing tasks.

None
