New to all this... need help

Hey guys im a new member just got my droid, would like to customize it, besides droidmod.. Im looking for a Rom.. not comlplicated but a safe one that allows me to install new themes and all.. Im running 2.1.. any feed back will be grately appreciated... Thanks

Welcome DAONE, I personally enjoy Adamz SmokedGlass ROM because of its blue theme and reliabilty. You may also want to look into UD by Blackdroid. I know the v9.0 is themable through MM

As your phone is 2.1 you will have to jump through a few hoops to get another ROM installed. First you'll need to flash your system's firmware back to 2.0.1 then "root" it, then install one of the other ROM's (most are 2.1 based already).
