new message alert

Is anyone else annoyed by the fact that you get the pop up that u have a new text, but that it doesnt actually tell you who your new text is from?

Which app are you using? I use Handcent, which tells you.

I have everything stock right now. I would have expected that the phone stock would have been a solid phone. Apparently its going to take some fooling around with to get some settings on this phone that came with my past phones stock though...

I switched over to SwifKey and it still just says new message and then just you have a new message when I grab the pulldown. My ReZound, a preview of the text and who it came from would actually pop up on my phone, and on the pull down you would see the same.

If you go into your Messaging settings you will see a check box for Preview Message, make sure and check that. It will tell you who it is from and the first few words of the message.
