New Droid user

Hey guys!

My name is Kleigh and I'm a new Droid user, switched over from an iPhone 3GS for the sheer fact that I missed having a physical keyboard. Since I have been on this board now and seeing all the awesome things that we can do with our phones, I am totally impressed and stoked.

As of last night I have gone from stock to ROOTED using Bugless Beast 1.1 with Chevy' 1.25ghz Kernel and currently O.C'd to 1ghz. What an awesome phone and I hope that you guys keep on developing new and innovative things for our phones! I look forward to sharing info with u all in the near future. CHEERS!

alarm clock

I have the Droid Eris and the alarm clock when set won't sound it vibrates or blinks but no noise. How do I fix this problem. I have looked in everything to make sure that there is sound on.

Welcome to DF and hope you enjoy your Droid as much as I do. It took me over 2 months before I finally got the courage to root my phone. Now I don't know why I took so long. I am using Smoked Glass 5.0.1 and last night installed Chevy's 1.25 also. I'd read it is supposed to keep the CPU and battery cooler, but to me after the first day seems about the same. Hope you feel at home here at DF.
