Hello. I just bought my Droid this weekend. Coming from a long line of boring phones it's a new twist to having my first smartphone. My girlfriend is laughing at me because I can do a lot of the harder stuff but simple stuff I'm getting stuck on. I mean how hard can it be to add contacts to my phone without it asking if I want to add it to my gmail account?

Adding Contacts
Well here's the step by step. I was talking to a co-worker and was adding his number to my phone. I clicked Contacts, then the menu key at bottom, then add new contact. Next screen gives me the option "Create under account" and shows my gmail account. So now what?
Oh and I wanted to call voicemail on my phone but the old "hit 1 then send for voicemail" doesn't work.
