Still learning how to use it, First Data type phone, Are there any Things I should turn on or off on the Phone, Recommended Accessories or Apps I should get or install, Any & all help would be appreciated!!!!
One of the first apps I would suggest is Handcent for text messaging over the stock app. I like the customization capabilities. If you are going to customize the appearance I would get Beautiful Widgets. Any of the home replacements will give you more screens for shortcuts and such. I also have downloaded a virus protection/locator for my phone. Some will say its not necessarily important but it give me piece of mind. Finally, what I told my husband when he got his droid, is before downloading any apps read the comments. I usually stay away from any that say there is a force close issue or if performance is not what I want. I am sure others here will have a ton of advice for you, but these are the few important ones for me. (oh and I am not rooted either)
:welcome: to the Droid Forums. This question is asked a lot so you may not get a huge response. I recommend Screebl. I also suggest that you go to the apps thread and search around in there. There are threads where people list their apps.
