Netflix destroys battery

Phone was on for total of 3 hours. 1.5 of netflix streaming over 3g while riding the metro and. 5 in calls. Battery hit 15%. Extreme or pretty normal?

1.5 hours of streaming (using the display)? Pretty normal. You don't get something for nothing. The display will eat your battery if you use it continuously for long periods.

I always watch netflix plugged in. Drains my battery

This shouldn't be any surprise. If you'll be using Netflix for long amounts of time when a charger is not available, you might want to invest in an extended battery (or two that you can swap out)...
