Need help tethering

Ok so we just got rid of internet, no laptop, and all the wifi signals around me are locked. I just got an xbox 360 slim and I want to get on live. (I don't care about preformance) can anyone help me with like a step by step setup. Thanks. Oh and I have the first droid I'm pretty sure its called the motorola so I came here as a guess.

I'm pretty sure that tethering to get on xbox live is'nt a great idea.....
