When I use the navigation can still use the phone??

When you start navigating the route/maps which are needed are copied to your sd card (or phone I forget which). At that point you could make/take a call and navigation would continue. However, if you were to deviate from the given route and navigation needed to re-access the web to download some data it would be unable to do so until you hung up.

Assuming by "navigation" you mean Google Nav. There are other nav apps out there, FYI.
