Multimedia Dock Mode in Car

Is there a way to set my droid to the multimedia dock mode while in the car mount? I am new to the droid, but it seems as though since they both work off of a magnet, then I should be able to choose between either mode.

Well, your assumption is off. IIRC, the polarity of the magnet determines which dock mode is enabled so choosing isn't possible (unless you can flip the magnet in the dock). An app might do what you're looking for...

Thank you both! I did look into DockRunner. Will it work while in the car dock, as well?

the magnet in the car dock is easily switched. Simply remove the plate with the motorola logo on it and the magnet is right behind there.
