I drilled a hole in my motorola car dock where it covered the camera lense, creating a dashcam. (note-- you do not need to uncover the flash. a bright light shining into the windshield would obscure most photographs anyway.)

If you use the app Car Dock v2 you can add a short cut to the camera on your Car Dock Home Screen.

The mount partially obstructs the camera's view in the video, but I plan on fixxing that by attaching the mount to the dash rather than the windshield.

If anybody else attempts this, I take no responsibility if you break your car dock or kill yourself or another person playing with it. use your phone responsibly and at your own risk.

while you have your drill do yourself a favor and drill holes over the rear speaker location too.

Using the camera with layars while driving is dangerous too.

That's pretty awesome. Unfortunately, I can't use it. I don't want to stick anything to my windshield because it's tinted. ;)

I have the same OEM mount. If you position it with the camera view in mind, you can easily get a full view ahead with it mounted to the windshield still...
Put the suction cup to the right and have the arm going down and to the left. Works like a charm.

I used a dremel tool to make a perfect cut out for mine...

I think I'll make some holes for the speaker now, it's pretty cool to listen to Pandora while I ride my bike.
