Mobile Hotspot

Is the mobile hotspot free on this device? When I started it up there was no prompt from Verizon announcing that payment was neccessary?

Maybe it is free, because of the tiered data priceing. But I highly doubt it.

Edit: just checked. After you enable it on the phone and connect a laptop to it and try to go to a website it will prompt you asking you to subscribe. $20 for 2 GB.

Funny.

They bring you as far along as they can before they hit you with the bill. I wondered about this too and then realized that this is a Verizon bloat and there was NO WAY they weren't going to charge you for it.
