Marvel's Contest of Champions

I recently installed this game (about a month ago to be exact). At the time I would just play from time to time here and there when bored. I am not as hooked yet where I am part of alliances or doing versus battles. But I must admit I have found myself (foolishly) paying for stuff in the game, it was later I caught on that I got reeled in and had I just waited in been patient I would have gotten the same reward for free.

So what are some tips for casual players who rather not spend any money?

I use my Opinion Rewards earnings for stuff like IAPs in games. The only real tip other than "Don't spend your real money" is to be patient. It may take longer and you may have to do the same levels/fights/etc. over and over again to get enough resources to advance, but pretty much all of these games are made so that that's possible if you can wait. They make it monotonous to try and convince you to spend your money while still being able to call the game free.
