Why is it such a crapshoot finding good apps in the Androlib site? I happened to stumble on this excellent map app. Best of all it's free, though I would gladly pay for it. This one stands out from most others in that it uses offline maps that you download to your SD card and use whenever you are out of the network. It's not fancy but it has enough detail to get you out of trouble.
