Just what the title says...i'm fixing to go into engineering school and I'm wondering what your opinions are on each of these, i figured i would get some unbiased answers here ;)

without a fight, to each their own

PC are more versatile and can do a lot more than mac

i myself am a macbook owner and soon to buy a second one to have two in my home, macs never get viruses, have owned this one for three years and i can recall less than five unwanted popups, theyre great for college students like myself, more creative, nice software, better user friendly, not to mention way better battery life

as far as for engineering id go mac, since theres no much in your field as where u would only need a specific type but thats my OPINION

I've supported both. Three years ago I switched to Mac. My advice, contact the department head at your school and seek his or her opinion.

i also have a macbook pro and im in my 3rd year as an aerospace engineering student. i like it better than my pc just cause of the fact that you dont have to deal with viruses and malware and all that crap. (although i also have a PC, too)

you can always dual boot if something only runs on windows..

Okay i was wondering if the battery stats were really that much better, i just don't think i will be able to make it on two hours of battery.

I will probably be getting the 13" Macbook Pro with the upgraded processor mainly for portability and battery. I might wait for one of those deals where you get a free iPod Touch haha

im pretty sure those deals are only during spring/summer. contact apple (has anyone ever said that before on this forum???) to find out exactly what you can get
