losing contacts?

naturally my droid is synced to facebook but some contacts are getting lost and the only i can get them back if i make a new contact and join it with the old one so that it's still synced with fb any suggestions?

Also i was told froyo had mobile tethering not jus usb is this true and how do get it workin??

My friend has the same contacts issue an I can't figure it out sorry


But to answer the tethering question as far as I know the only way you can do it wirelessly is with a rooted Droid an a app called wireless tether.
