Lightweight Versions Of Popular Apps Free Up Your Phone's Memory

There is nothing more frustrating than the "running low on space" error in Android. This has become less of problem on newer devices with 32GB or more of storage, but some of you who have hundreds of apps can still use up that much space. When your space runs out things come to a stand still and you have to either start deleting your photos, music, or apps to make space for the new stuff you want to put on your device. This problem is what has led a few developers to create light low storage versions of some popular apps.

The Holo Launcher is probably one of the lightest home screen replacement apps around. If you want to free up some space and still use a custom launcher this is probably the launcher for you. Facebook lite replaces the official app which can use more than 100mb of storage with an app that is only about 250kb in size. Pinhog is the light version of Pinterest. While very unattractive, Naked browser will free up some space that Chrome or Firefox has taken away. Twitter not only takes up a substantial amount of storage, it can also be a battery hog. Tweedle for Twiiter is a much more minimal version of the app. There are plenty of alternatives to the apps you use on a daily basis head to the source link for several more.
