LG announced today a new phone that will utilize VMWare virtualization on Verizon's network. The tech was showed off on an LG Revolution, but supposedly we will see it come out on its own device on Verizon within "coming weeks". Apparently, LG and VMware have been working on this since February, and are only just now getting the technology ready for prime time. The bottom line is that this idea will allow a user to have two different virtual operating systems running on the same phone. This would allow someone to carry one phone that does double duty as your office provided device and personal phone, without having to actually carry two physical devices. Pretty slick stuff!

I'm still waiting on VoLTE that we first heard was demoed on the Revolution but this is still pretty neat too.

Sounds like something that would benefit devs greatly! Not having to worry about frying your phone because the test Rom is on a Virtual Device... I can see people getting creative with this...

So that's what makes the Revolution so revolutionary ;)

I remember this from last years CES. I can't wait for it!
