It looks like Lenovo wasn't done coming up with innovative ideas for mobile devices. Another concept device they are working on is the "Magic View" smartwatch. The main claim to fame for this device is a second display on the watch band of the device.

Lenovo calls the second display a “Virtual Interactive Display” and claims it is designed to let users view images up to 20 times size of the regular watch face. The VID can also display private information that users would rather not show on the main watch face.

Lenovo couldn't share a timeframe for making this device an actual retail product, but they did reiterate that their Yoga tablet line was just a concept not too long ago before it became one of their hottest selling products.

It looks like Lenovo is hitting it out of the park with new ideas lately. It will be exciting to see what their team-up with Motorola eventually brings to the table.

Here's a video from Android Authority showing off the watch:

Why? Seriously why?

Cool tech and all, but there would appear to be very limited practical application/function.

To see notifications without turning your wrist. I think it is a great idea.

LOL you said that with a straight face? Just how fat and lazy are people getting?!? And in most cases, you still will move your arm or turn your wrist, just perhaps in a different manner than if you didn't have this gimmick.

Not sure its a matter of fat and lazy. Though I am more of the first than I'd like and plenty of the second. But I am thinking of hand position as I type this my 360 is at an angle that would make this screen on the Lenovo concept easily viewed. "Is this important enough for me to pick my phone up or should i just keep typing?"

Really, how can you argue with MORE screen? :)

My 360 does all I need it to do to currently. I personally would not have a need for this.

I wouldn't be able to make out what the smaller screen has on it to be honest unless it had huge fonts and few characters.
