left phone in hot car....

and whats the lesson we learned from this?
dont leave expensive electronics in a hot car.

shouldnt leave a phone in your car anyway... far too easy for a thief to break a windown and lean in to grab it.

...it melted the neoprene case and shut the phone off

Hopefully you have insurance for your phone, if not then it's an expensive lesson learned.

haha I think you misunderstood the phone still works perfectly fine :) and too the question below it does not appear to have. Let me be a little clearer the phone was really hot and was still operating when I got to it, but it quickly shutoff seconds after this, the case was all slimy so I took it off and wiped the slim/gressyness off. The phone turned on after about 10 minutes in the cold and is now working just fine, I washed the neoprene case and it is in good shape as well, so no harm done :)

I did this once by accident phone temp read 145 and I got a critical temp notification. When it got down to 120 it said that is a safe operating temp.
