LCD Density Change Doesn't Work With Stock Rom?

Could some one explain why this doesn't work? I was able to change my lcd density on both squidly and fission, yet on stock it doesn't work. When I try it the phone reboots to take changes into effect, but after the M it just goes to a black screen. The first time I had to sbf, the second I loaded up a back up I made before trying again.

Matt4542 told me not to change the lcd density on stock rom, but our conversation had ended before he could tell me why. Just wondering if any one could shed some light on this.

That's odd I changed the density on stock once or twice before flashing squidly's 2.3.2 full blur without issues.
